Dive Deeply, Forrest Yoga
The intention of this class is to provide an opportunity to begin your Sunday by "diving deeper" into your yoga practice! This Forrest yoga class will be using pranayama (breath), asanas (poses), inversions, and salutations (linking breath to movement). The class will conclude in a relaxing and refreshing savasana (resting pose). This opportunity to extend your practice through the weekend can guide you in concluding one week, and preparing for the next one!
Flow Yoga, Basics
For the beginning yoga student or for those who want to develop a yoga
practice, this class emphasizes linking breath to movement and building from
one posture to the next, stretching and strengthening your whole body.
Flow Yoga is often referred to as Vinyasa-Flow. Vinyasa is actually a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.
Flow Yoga, Beyond Beginner
This intense and active class is true to the improvisational style which is traditional to Flow. This class emphasizes linking breath to movement and building from
one posture to the next, stretching and strengthening your whole body.
Through sun salutations, asanas, and flowing movement, this class will challenge you with deeper & stronger poses that provide an excellent workout for the level I & II student.
Forrest Yoga
A dynamic and mindful yoga workout that builds strength,
flexibility, and emotional and spiritual intelligence. Forrest Yoga helps
individuals heal from physical and emotional injuries and creates a more
spacious home for their true self. It is through breath work, asanas and
mindfulness that students experience freedom and potency in body, mind and spirit.
Forrest Yoga is the invention of west-coast yoga teacher Ana Forrest. Forrest Yoga pays special attention to abdominal work and breathing. Vigorous sequences of poses are intended to build heat in order to sweat out toxins and release emotions stored in the body.
