Acupunture: Acupunture may be used to treat or prevent
specific symptoms or conditions, such as pain, anxiety, arthritis,
eczema, sports injuries hayfever, asthma, migraine, high blood
pressure, menstral disorders, intestinal problems or pregnancy
management and delivery. During acupuncture treatment, needles
are either inserted for a second or two or left in place for
up to 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the effect required.
During this time there may be a heavy sensation in the limbs
and a pleasant feeling of relaxation.
Cranial-Sacral Therapy : Craniosacral Therapy has its origins in osteopathic medicine. This gentle, non-invasive hands-on technique works with the cerebral spinal fluid, cranial bones, skeletal bones, the central nervous system, and soft tissues to release imbalances or trauma. While lying fully clothed, faced up on the table, the client may feel subtle shifts as the body's own wisdom corrects and realigns itself to a balanced state. Clients report various benefits including increased
relaxation, pain relief, improved skeletal alignment, and emotional release.
Massage
Deep Tissue: Deep pressure is used to relieve chronic
muscular aches. The therapist may use stretching, holding
of pressure points or deep friction as well a soothing aromas
and music to assist in relieving tension.
Foot
Reflexology: The art and science of using various touch
techniques on specific points of the feet to normalize body
functions, maintain optimal health and restore energy throughout
the body. The stimulation of points on the feet that correspond
to particular organs, glands or parts of the body works
to break down crystal deposits in the feet and help restore
homeostasis.
Relaxing
Circulatory Massage: Emphasizes relaxation. Therapist
uses soothing strokes combined with aromatherapy to improve
circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Thai
Medical Massage: An ancient traditional medical massage
from Thailand. Best described as assisted Hatha Yoga and
pressure point therapy. This massage is experienced on a
yoga mat. Wear loose and comfortable clothing.
Tui
Na: Its origins lie in ancient China. It features primarily
grasping, pressing, penetrating and rubbing methods that
are used to stimulate acupoints, activate the channels and
collaterals of the chi energy system, and manipulate the
soft tissues and articular relationships of the physical
body.
